Wendi has been with Matzner Chiropractic
since September 2004 as Certified Nutritionist. She is a 1994
graduate of Eastern Illinois University and a Certified Nutritionist through
American Health Science University. Her approach to nutrition is holistic
and is based on whole foods and herbal supplementation to support and
nourish the body. She hosts nutrition seminars, recently founded Fresh Start
Kitchens as a way to help others adopt healthy lifestyle habits in their
homes, and has also appeared on WAND-TV’s morning show to discuss nutrition
topics. “I became a nutritionist
because I wanted to change this country’s declining health,
and I knew the key was in our eating habits. So I set out to
discover all I could about the power of healing foods,
herbals, nutraceuticals, and how those could address
particular health challenges in a natural, holistic way. It
is so great to see what can happen when one begins to move
away from poor-quality foods and towards the whole natural
foods we humans were designed to eat. It just makes perfect
sense, and the body begins to heal itself. Imagine what the
economical and cultural impacts would be if more Americans
adopted healthy dietary habits.”
“As I continue to work with
clients, I see so clearly how important it is to maintain a
positive attitude and a sense of empowerment as you travel
on the road to optimum health. Total wellness does not
happen by accident, it happens on purpose. Every day you
are faced with choices and you have the power to choose the
one that moves you closer to wellness or closer to illness.
There is no standing still on this road, and you must take
responsibility for your own health because if you don’t, who
will?”
