Kara Metcalf, DC

Hi my name is Dr. Kara Metcalf. I am a graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic, the fountainhead of chiropractic, which is located in Davenport, IA. I also received my Bachelor of Science Degree through Palmer College. I did the majority of my undergraduate studies at Iowa Wesleyan College in Mt. Pleasant, IA.

My chiropractic techniques include: Diversified, Activator, Thompson/Drop, and Flexion Distraction/Cox. It’s good to have a variety of techniques to choose from to make adjustments (corrections of the spine) that are specific for the individual patient.

As for my personal ambition and drive I would love to see chiropractic involving more families with a special emphasis on children. It is so vital to have a young child’s spine evaluated for proper health and true wellness to occur. To be able to positively affect a young person’s health is astronomical in what you are giving that child. A child’s health potential is so much greater with chiropractic care. Incorporating more children into chiropractic is definitely a passion of mine, for the preventative aspect of chiropractic is so powerful. It truly is all about letting the innate power flow to its fullest potential and letting us heal within, that is the best part about chiropractic.

As for my hobbies and what I like to do for fun, I really dig horseback riding, with an emphasis on trail riding. I would like to eventually get into amateur showing and maybe some dressage someday. I was raised on a dairy farm in Iowa with three brothers and a multitude of farm chores. I am no stranger to hard work!
